I am trying to set up a Foscam IP camera using the DDNS provided by Foscam. I have assigned a fixed IP address and port and have set up the port and IP address in the router under Virtual Server. I have uPnP off. The Foscam Interface says DDNS succeed, however I have no access using an external broadband. I also have checked if the port was open with the Dynamic IP address at the time but it is closed. I have set up a number of Foscam cameras using Huawei routers so am fairly proficient with it. Has three done something recently with what ports are open?

We haven't made any changes on our side, which Huawei router are you using and what APN are you currently using? Now that really isn't true is it? Three have changed the IP addressing for some users so that previously working IP cameras no longer work on three's network unless the user spots whats going on and specifically asks for a Public IP address. If its 10.x.x.x then you are behind NAT and it won't work. If you search the forum for similar treads you'll find a lot more information. I can probably tell you if NAT and a Private IP address are an issue if you post or PM your current IP address as seen at whatismyip.com just miss of the last octect for security. NAT translates the Public IP address of the server to the Private IP address if thats whats going on. Hi, the IP addresses we provide are dynamic so this is likely the cause of the issue.

The APN is correct there. Can you PM me your account details and I'll have a technical agent call you to go through some options to help with this? Thanks The OP has a Private IP address which is why it won't work.

When you provide him with a Public IP address it will work again. Fyi the Foscams DDNS service deals with the changes of Public IP address. Hi my3cents, thanks for the input here.
